“The Kansas Citizens for the Arts works to build support for the arts among the public, community leaders, and elected officials.”
The Kansas Citizens for the Arts, a nonprofit organization comprised of individuals and businesses who care about the future of our state, is working to build that support among the public, community leadership and elected officials.
Kansas Citizens for the Arts believes that the arts:
Stimulate economic development and community infrastructure - for every public dollar invested in the arts in Kansas, $9 are returned in state and local revenues*
Prepare students for the 21st century by teaching innovative thinking, problem solving and collaborative skills
Build bridges among communities and people
Improve the quality of life in Kansas communities by increasing civic engagement.
